This was an interesting one to work on because an apricot has fine fuzz on its surface, and it plays a large part in making it look real. While I was able to create a quality model and texture set, it did not yet look entirely real.
Super small and fine detail such as half millimeter tall translucent fuzz does not translate well in photogrammetry; such detail is often lost in the process. To remedy this, I did some research and experimented with the hair particle emitter in Blender. I added one to the model and tinkered with it, and the end result is a marked improvement in the realism of the renderings.
